Jenny Kozuharoff – Bright

How long have you lived in the area?

I've been here since about 2003 – just up the road, five minutes away.

What do you do for a living?

I'm the store manager for Journey Bright. We sell clothing, homewares, decor – the whole range.

What are your hobbies and interests?

I like to walk my dogs, go see my horse and just spend time with my four girls and husband. That's mainly all I have time for.

What do you like about the area?

It's just beautiful. Like, you could be in the middle of somewhere like Sweden or Germany with all the pine trees, and there's great walks especially on our road. Just grab your dogs and off you go. It's like you're on holiday all the time really. I'd love it to be maybe two hours from Melbourne, but then perhaps it might be too busy.

Where would you take visitors to showcase the area?

The rail trails, I'd go to Wandiligong, Harrietville. Buffalo is great – we had a grandchild do some tobogganing there. It's nice and close and fantastic.

Is there anything you would change about the area?

The hospital – it would be nice if we could have babies born there. I was lucky to have two there but they don't do births there. There's a bigger population now, and you just have to go to Wang. What we need is a nursing home with high care and we need a hospital that can have people having families here.
