Breanna Carr – Myrtleford

How long have you been living in the area?

I've been back in the area for a year and a half now. I'm originally from Beechworth but I was out of the area for about 10 years.

What do you do for a living?

I'm a vet at the vet clinic in Myrtleford.

How did you get into that?

I'm one of those people that always wanted to be a vet since they were a little kid. So I studied hard and got into a uni course. I've now come back to this area, which is great.

What are your hobbies and interests?

Definitely chickens – I'm a crazy poultry person, so that's my main thing. I also like horse riding and fishing – just being outside.

What do you like about the area?

I love that there's so many things to see and do around here. It's a beautiful spot. You can do so many different things, whether it's skiing in winter, or swimming and being down by some of our beautiful creeks and rivers during the summer. The people are really lovely too, there's a good community feel down in Myrtleford here, which is lovely.

Where would you take visitors to showcase the area?

The Woolshed Falls area is really lovely. Saying that though, we've got so many different spots here, like Nimmo Bridge. The beauty of all those little creeks and things that feed into it – it's gorgeous.

Is there anything you would change about the area?

It would be awesome to have a little shuttle bus running between all the different areas – up into the mountains and to Bright and Myrtleford. If you're on holidays, or even for just the locals, it'd be great to have a shuttle system.
