Local water rights holder urge farmers not to “sell our soul”

LOCALS in the water trade business are warning against Federal Government plans to buyback water in the Ovens and King river catchments.

The Federal Government is seeking rights to up to 70 gigalitres (GL) of water from farmers in the southern Murray-Darling Basin willing to sell their water entitlement back to the Commonwealth.
