How long have you lived in the area?
I was born here in the Mount Beauty Hospital in 1966, before they stopped delivery babies there at the hospital.
What do you like about living here?
The people , my family is here, the mountains and rivers , it so beautiful.
Would you like to see any changes or additions?
Yes, the pond in Hydro Park needs to be cleaned, planting native shrubs to make it look pretty and attract birds, bees, dragonflies and butterflies. There could be frogs and fish added to it if it were clean.
What do you do, your hobbies and interests?
I teach Tai Chi, strength training, and aqua fit. I help my partner John with our coffee caravan. I have cared for my mum for 20 years, but now she is in Kiewa Valley House and she is happy there. John and I like music, we conduct karaoke nights at West Peak Hotel and sometimes perform there on a Saturday afternoon.
Where would you take visitors to showcase the area?
There are so many beautiful places it's hard to choose. One thing we would do is have a picnic in Hydro Park in the early evening to see the illuminations in the trees come on, they are so pretty, like a fairyland.
