How long are you staying here?

This time we're up for a week, but this is the fourth time we've stayed at Bright this winter.

What do you do?

I'm a historian – I do mostly popular history. I run a TikTok account and I run a YouTube channel that focuses on military history. I just finished my PhD.

What are your hobbies and interests?

I like to surf, I like to ski and I make my own surfboards.

What do you like about the area?

I love skiing and the mountains in general, and I love Bright. It's a beautiful town. It reminds me of Queenstown in New Zealand. It's got beautiful views, and I love the pub, love the brewery, love the food. It's just a really nice place.

Where would you take visitors to showcase the area?

If they wanted to drink I'd take them to the brewery. I'd take them up to Mount Buffalo for sure. I'd walk them around the town, and Wandiligong's really nice for drive. I love Harrietville – that's a beautiful place, and I'd potentially drive them to Mount Beauty to show them views of Mount Bogong.

Is there anything you would change about the area?

Not really, no. It's nice.
