How long have you lived in the area?
For all my life – born and bred here.
What do you do?
I'm the store manager at Myrtleford Foodworks.
I started here a long time ago under Frank Masciarelli.
I worked in most departments – deli, checkout, grocery.
I was produce manager here for many years, then I was put into grocery management.
Then I went to work for Yackandandah Foodworks. I worked there for two or three years, then I became the store manager of Bright IGA, then I was asked to come to Myrtleford and manage this store.
What are your hobbies and interests?
My hobby is gardening. It's my destress – I like my lawns manicured.
What do you like about the area?
It's a great place to live.
We're a small community where most people know each other.
We look out for each other, we help each other, and it's a beautiful place in Australia.
Where would you take visitors to showcase the area?
I would take them to Lake Buffalo, the Mosaic Trail – that was basically my backdoor when my kids were growing up.
I would take them up to Mount Buffalo and the surrounding areas, and take them to have a swim in the Ovens River.
Is there anything you would change about the area?
I would try and get more young people to stay in the town, try and offer more work here for young people so young families can move back to our town.
