How long have you lived in the area?
I moved here in ‘93. I left and went traveling for 10 years, then I came back and I've been here now for 16 years.
What do you do for a living?
I clean at the caravan park here, I make Dutch pancakes at the monthly market and I sing at various events.
What are your hobbies or interests?
Latest Stories
I play guitar and sing, I play basketball, I love to go bushwalking and camping, gardening and travelling. Lots of things really.
What do you like about the area?
Everything: the trees, the mountains, the river, and the people. I think it's home. I love the summer because I love walking, especially swimming in the river. This is the best place; I've been everywhere in Australia and I've come back to here. The music scene as well, I like that too.
Where would you take visitors to showcase the area?
All the walks and waterfalls of Mount Buffalo would be my first place to go, and bike riding to Harrietville.
Is there anything you would change about the area?
Put more roundabouts in for when it gets busy over the holidays.
Do you have any ambitions for the future?
I’m waiting for my kids to grow up so I can go traveling again. I want to buy land and plant trees and be self-sufficient - that's my goal.
