How long have you lived in Ovens?
We've owned our property for 25 years. We decided to come up here for tree change about 15 years ago. I’m originally from Red Cliffs Mildura, so I’m used to the heat.
What do you do for a living?
I’m a retired bus driver. I've got Parkinson's. I recommend what really helps it is plenty of water and taking your medicine on time.
What are your hobbies or interests?
I used to be a tank maker, and motorcycles. I also attend a tai chi class run by Kym Goodman every Thursday, which is helping my Parkinson’s disease. Tai chi’s really good for helping disabilities.
What do you like about the area?
I used to be a school bus driver. I liked seeing the kids grow up, go from primary school to secondary. I drove the Buckland bus for eight years.
I like the extremes of weather, the changing seasons. I also like the fishing and outdoor activities. Country life’s good.
Where would you take visitors to showcase the area?
Mount Buffalo, the rivers and Lake Buffalo.
Do you have any ambitions for the future?
Maybe a bit of small travel within Australia.
