Benny Williams – Harrietville

How long have you lived in the area?

Seven years.

What do you do for a living?

I make my way as a musician for the better part.

What are your hobbies or interests?

Being with friends, walking, skiing, riding, writing, drawing, eating cheese, singing in the shower, wading in the river, drinking coffee in the street.

What do you like about the area?

Most of my friends live here, most of my life’s been here, living in the hills, it’s close to home. There’s a strong creative drive in this community, vibrant hospitality and amazing produce everywhere.

Where would you take visitors to showcase the area?

This time of year, I would buy some snags at the butcher and go for hike, camp out for the night on a ridge somewhere and get a good look around. Dinner and a gin at Reed and Co in Bright would definitely be on the cards also.

To make it home for Christmas and see my friends and my family.
