THERE is no shortage of plentiful, fresh and fun markets on in the Alpine Shire as we head into the warmer months.
Why not pencil these in to your calendar and spend your weekends exploring the produce, creations, products and more from your local community.
The Myrtleford Farmers Market is held on the fourth Saturday of each month from 8.30am to 12.30pm at the Piazza, in the heart of Myrtleford.
The market is accredited by the Victorian Farmers Market Association, which market coordinator Louise Benini said means customers are guaranteed access to quality, freshly harvested produce whilst supporting local farmers and directly putting money back into regional Victorian communities.
The next Myrtleford Farmer’s Market will be held on November 23.

Mount Beauty Community Market, November 2
Held in Hydro Park on the first Saturday of each month from 9am, as well as New Years Day and Easter Sunday, the Mount Beauty Markets feature a variety of stalls including locally made items, fresh produce, plants and seedlings, home baked treats, handmade jewellery and vintage clothing, photography prints and paintings, knitwear, toys and woodwork, hand-dyes wool, secondhand books and more.
Bright Rotary Spring Market November 4
The Spring Market hosts up to 100 stalls, with something for everyone; local food and drink vendors, homemade items, crafts, skincare, clothing, and plenty more together with entertainment and such a festive atmosphere.
The Spring Market is a must-do on this long weekend, from 9am to 2pm in Howitt Park, Bright.
Myrtleford Flea Market November 9
Hosted by the Myrtleford Historical Society on the grounds of the Old School Museum, the market sells a variety of art and craft, fresh fruit and vegetables, books, trash and treasure, cakes, jams and preserves, jewellery, plants, clothing, wood craft and much more.
Check it out from 8am at the Old School Museum, 29 Elgin street, Myrtleford, returning again on December 14.
Bright Make It Bake It Grow It Markets November 16
The market is held on the banks of the beautiful Ovens River at Howitt Park.
All stallholders make, bake or grow their product themselves.
Food producers include, fresh fruit and vegetables,, wineries, jams and preservers, cheese, sweets and much more.
Local craft includes jewellery, kids clothes, art, pottery, soap and beauty products, leather works, wooden toys, candles and wellbeing, plants and much more.
Local food vendors include crepes, Italian donuts, sausage rolls, strudels, dutch pancakes, sixpence coffee and more.
The market kicks off at 9am with live music from 10:30am.
