Lots of library events to celebrate Seniors Festival

LAST Friday saw writer, photographer and editor, Kathy Mexted host a 'Women in Aviation' Author Talk at the Myrtleford Library as one of the wide range of events to celebrate the Victorian Seniors Festival, being held in October throughout the state.

Myrtleford locals looking to discover something new at the library can look forward to more events scheduled throughout the remainder of the month.

On Tuesday, October 22, Trove Talks will be held at the library between 11am and 12pm, to help attendees learn about their ancestry.

Every Wednesday, basic computer skills will be taught in one-on-one sessions at 10:30am, 11am and 11:30am.

On Thursday, October 24, the library will host an Intergenerational Story Time from 11am.

This event combines the celebrations of the Victorian Seniors Festival and Children's Week, to provide a fun day for all attendees, regardless of age.

Gravy the Dog is also scheduled to appear.

The Seniors Festival also features a range of other events hosted across the Alpine Shire including: an abseiling weekend at Mount Buffalo, a Resilient Community Picnic thrown by the Mount Beauty CFA, a Come-and-Try Croquet day in Bright and a Community Night Fundraiser at Club Savoy for the University of the Third Age, not to mention the Myrtleford Show next weekend.
