Summer Series is returning

SPEND a Sunday afternoon being a little bit lazy, with the Myrtleford Chamber of Commerce’s new live music event; a prelude to the launch of the 2024/25 Summer Series.

A Lazy Sunday Afternoon will see Terry Lockwood kicking off at 2pm followed by Tracy Hamilton and the Fresians until 6pm on November 24 in the Myrtleford Piazza.

Myrtleford Chamber of Commerce president Jim van Geet said the team is excited to see the Summer Series return.

“The chamber of commerce is delighted to be able to present this series of free events to our community and visitors to Myrtleford and surrounds,” he said.

“We are fortunate to have so many talented artists in our community.

“The Summer Series is a family friendly free event that supports many local performers and we encourage everyone to bring along a picnic or buy takeout from one of our many cafes or take out restaurants in close proximity.

“Make a calendar note or diary entry to make two hours each week for 10 weeks free; to relax, take the night off cooking and share in company of friends and family.”

The first instalment for the Summer Series will be held on Friday, December 6 from 6pm to 8pm before running every Friday evening in December, and every Saturday evening through January to February 8, all in the Myrtleford Piazza.

The line up for 2024/25 has been booked with the first Friday in December kicking off with talented duo Benny and Megs.

Tahlia Brain has been on the road for several months and has recorded an album while in Broome, but is back for the Summer Series.
