ALPINE Shire Council has confirmed the Alpine Colour Fun Run will be held in Mount Beauty this year - a vibrant and free community event that promises fun, fitness, and
The event will take place on Saturday, 5 April 2025, starting at the Mount Beauty Skate Park.
This inclusive event invites participants of all ages and abilities to enjoy a colourful run or walk around the 2.9km pondage footpath loop.
Alpine Shire Mayor, Cr Sarah Nicholas, encouraged the community to join in the fun.
"Complete one lap or as many as you’d like - it’s all about having fun and supporting mental and physical health in a safe and welcoming environment," she said.

“Events like the Alpine Colour Fun Run are a fantastic way to bring people together, celebrate our community, and promote positive mental health and physical activity.
“We’re proud to provide free, inclusive events that bring joy and connection to everyone in our shire.
"Wear your favourite old clothes – preferably white ones - so you can collect the whole rainbow on the way round."
The day kicks off with a warm-up at 9.15am on the netball courts, with the run and walk starting promptly at 9.30am.
While prams and wheelchairs are welcome to join in, bikes, scooters and skateboards will not be permitted to take part in the Alpine Colour Fun Run to ensure the event is safe for everyone on the path.
If running or walking isn't your vibe, you can also come along to cheer for friends and family, or enjoy the entertainment, including Al’s Skate Co skateboarding sessions from 10.30am, designed to be all-abilities friendly.
Food, drinks, and additional activities will be available on the day, with more details to come.
The 2025 Mount Beauty Colour Fun Run is proudly funded by the State of Victoria through Emergency Recovery Victoria’s Community Recovery Hubs grant program and the Australian Government as part of recovery efforts following the October 2022 floods and landslip.
The event is drug, alcohol, and smoke-free to ensure a safe and inclusive space for all.
