AFTER the devastating bushfires of 2019/2020 and the relentless challenges of COVID-19, Falls Creek was a place of quiet resilience.
It was then that a long-whispered dream among staff, locals, and business owners began to take shape.
With the lifeline of a bushfire recovery grant, aimed at breathing life back into the village, the first-ever FEASTIVAL Falls Creek finally came to life in February 2022.
It was truly a community effort.
Countless local legends volunteered their time, helping with everything from decorations to catering, and even organizing an amazing art exhibition!

The inaugural event was a turning point, bringing thousands back to Falls Creek in summer for a taste of live music in the mountains.
“To have such an acclaimed calibre of music, with the likes of Boy & Bear on stage, playing to thousands of people was unforgettable," event organiser, Bridget Halsall said.
"It wasn’t just the music; but the community coming together after such a tough period.
"Our community was so stoked to have an event like this so close to home, we knew we had to make it an annual affair.”
Since that first gathering, FEASTIVAL, now in its third year, has become a key cultural event for North East Victoria, drawing visitors from across Australia to experience the rare magic of a music festival in the mountains.
The vision from the start has been clear: keep it local.
FEASTIVAL organisers are proud to showcase the North East's mastery of food, wine, spirits, beer, art and music; a well-earned achievement.
With the 2025 event just around the corner, the invitation is open to immerse yourself in a weekend unlike any other.
Whether guests have a love of great music, exceptional food or simply the beauty of the Victorian Alps, there’s something here for everyone.
Headlined by the iconic Cat Empire and supported by the internationally acclaimed Budjerah, Slowly Slowly and so much more, the ‘Feast de Résistance’ on Saturday afternoon will get the whole family on their feet!

Tickets to each event are sold individually and are on sale now.
Opening Night begins on Friday, February 28 and FEASTIVAL festivities end on the evening of Sunday, March 2.
