FALLS Creek Ski Lifts has confirmed its last day for lift operations will be this Friday, September 13.
In line with this decision, Alpine Resorts Victoria has declared the snow season will also end on this date.
The decision follows the premature end of Mt Hotham's season on September 4, and Mt Buller's season on September 1, due to the demise of snow conditions after weeks of warm, and often wet weather, with very little natural snowfall.
A Falls Creek Ski Lifts company spokesperson said the decision was an incredibly hard one to make, and it took into account "many factors, with the priority focus on guest and staff safety and the major element no one can control – the weather".
"At Falls Creek, we are proud to be able to provide a great skiing and boarding experience for visitors through to Friday, given the challenging weather conditions faced all winter.
