Bright’s food co-op

COMMUNITY group Sustainable Upper Ovens (SUO) has partnered with Thamarrurr Youth Indigenous Coorporation to launch the Bright Food Co-Op.
The Bright Food Co-op will launch on Saturday, November 28 at Dumu Balcony Café and aims to provide bulk dry goods and locally grown produce to residents.
Co-op committee member, Katie Steven, said food cooperatives are a way of diversifying supply chains, improving access to healthy food and reducing environmental impacts from packaging and transport of food.
