BRIGHT Brewery's apprentice chef Tayah Jack has won a silver medal in Victoria's Aus Tafe Commercial Cooking Championships.
Tayah started her apprenticeship in 2019 after leaving school midway through year 11.
"Initially this wasn't the direction I wanted to go," she said, admitting she had hoped to work a winter at the alpine resorts.
