COMEDIANS Tim Hewitt, Sam Taunton, Alex Ward and David Quirk thrilled the crowd at the Education Myrtleford Performing Arts Centre (EMPAC) Theatre on Saturday evening for the Myrtleford Alpine Saints Football and Netball Club's fundraiser event.
"Saturday night was a resounding success," one of the event coordinators, Adrian Villella, said.
"We had great audience numbers after getting positive feedback from the local community.
"The acts were great and there was a real carnival atmosphere during the festivities.
"We got the figures we wanted for the first one and we have already started planning our next comedy evening.

"At this stage, it is scheduled for March next year at the EMPAC Theatre.
"We want to use the same local venue...it functioned really well and the acts were very impressed with the facilities.
"Our guests were well looked after.
"This will help finding other acts for future shows, as comedian's are a tight-knit community and they all talk to each other, so we're happy that they had a great time."
