WINERIES from the Alpine Valleys have been recognised as some of the best in the region at the North East Victorian Wine Challenge (NEVWC) held in Beechworth this month.
The local wine judging show features the best wines from the Alpine Valleys, Beechworth, King Valley, Rutherglen and Glenrowan.
A total of 46 producers were represented with a record number of entries and the Alpine Valleys region was awarded the Regional Shield as Winning Region.
