DESPITE one driver ignoring staff and the new vehicle entry charges at Mystic Park on the weekend, all other users were “understanding and accepting” according to Alpine Community Plantation (ACP)executive director Alia Parker.
The charges, announced in September were put in place by the ACP, which manages the mountain bike trails in the park, due to vehicle congestion “reaching unsafe levels” on the roads, popular with locals and visitors. Ms Parker said the first weekend went really well.
“Generally this time is a quiet time as we have a bit of a lull before Christmas so it was a good weekend to start putting the charges in place,” she said.
