BRIGHT and District Chamber of Commerce have commended the Alpine Shire events team in attracting events to the town, but are concerned about future growth.

President of the chamber, Rupert Shaw said the general feeling is they’re happy with the economic conditions but both the chamber and businesses want this to continue and grow.

“We’re very happy with the events team and the great work they’ve done but the question for the councillors is do we need more resources in that team; it’s the main driver of business in town,” he said.
