Bright Run Fest director “still hopeful”

BRIGHT Run Fest race director is still hopeful the event will go ahead as planned, unless strict COVID-19 restrictions come back into force.
The trail running event, which attracted 300 runners last year, is due to take place on August 29. Participants can take part in a 50, 25, 10, five and kids one-kilometre races, which all start and finish at Bright Brewery.
Race director Richard Xerri said after the Premier’s announcement on Saturday, he’s considering lots of scenarios but is hopeful that the event can still go ahead.
