Bushfires push dogs closer

THE January bushfires and a very dry summer could be the reasons behind the recent spate of wild dog activity in Bright.
Ongoing reports of wild dogs, which are deemed invasive pests in Victoria, roaming near residences in Bright has sparked concern that packs are moving closer to town.
State-wide invasive species manager at the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) Peter Austin, said there could be multiple factors at play, including the recent bushfires.
