Good Friday Appeal to go ahead, virtually

Kiewa good friday appeal
Three hampers have been donated to the Myrtleford Good Friday Appeal to auction off online instead of the traditional raffle. The auctioning will begin a week before Good Friday on the Myrtleford Good Friday Appeal Facebook page.

THIS year’s Good Friday Appeal will look a little different due to the extreme and unfortunate coronavirus pandemic but organisers are reminding locals to remember why we do it.

Victoria Police last week advised there can be no roadside collections, intersections collections or door knocks due to the risk of COVID-19 and locally, CFA brigades will not roam the streets on Good Friday.

Myrtleford area manager Karen Jones said the 2020 appeal is still alive with a virtual money tin created to keep the fundraising tradition going.
