Good hit out for Bright

BRIGHT has enjoyed a practice match win over Omeo, but it could be the only match the Mountain Men play until May or later, with a delayed start to the Ovens and King football season looking more and more likely due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The AFL yesterday, announced a 17 round season while state leagues and other competition across the country have also declared that their seasons won’t start as planned.

Despite the threat of a shortened season, Bright’s matchup against Omeo on Saturday was an encouraging first hit out for the year, according to coach Tom Mullane-Grant.
