MOUNT Beauty A-Grade cricketers have reclaimed second position on the ladder with two rounds to play after a hard-fought win over Howlong on Saturday.

Only nine points separate the top five teams, as they jostle for final positions to determine who gets to host a home final, with the Power only three points behind ladder leaders Yackandandah.

Playing in Howlong, who sit just outside the top six, the Power was sent into bat and made a solid start with openers Greg McLennan and Power captain Daniel Saville both making starts.
