SLOW DOWN: Motorists warned of need to stay within posted speed limits.

CONCERNED residents of Myrtleford’s Duke Street have pleaded with locals to slow down and obey road signs along the stretch near Memorial Oval.

Speaking to the Myrtleford Times last week, a resident who did not want to be named feared someone would be seriously injured or killed if motorists continue to disobey the 50km/h speed limit.

“I reckon the average speed along the street is between 60 and 80 and it is just baffling the amount of people who don’t stop at the stop sign about halfway down the street.”
