ROAD SAFETY: Growing demand on shire's road networks.

THE safety of road cyclists along the Great Alpine Road was among items on Alpine Shire Council’s wish list when Opposition spokesperson for Rural Roads, Ports and Freight Roma Britnell visited Myrtleford last Thursday.

Council highlighted the growing demands placed on the shire’s road networks specifically issues at Myrtleford, Bright, Harrietville and Porepunkah.

Ms Britnell, who toured the region with Tim McCurdy (MLA, Ovens Valley) said she continues to advocate for another round of funding as many local councils become desperate for adequate government funding.
