Local firies home safe

LOCAL District 24 firefighters deployed to NSW have faced catastrophic fire conditions this week with the whole state under a total fire ban on Monday and Tuesday.

Strike teams from the CFA have been travelling up the North Coast to fight fires where three people have died and 150 homes have been lost.

Volunteer firefighters Rhett Chalwell and Paul Mansfield from the Bright Fire Brigade and Damien Frawley from the Mount Hotham/Dinner Plain CFA were deployed last Wednesday as part of a District 24 strike team of 17, and returned home safely on Sunday night.
