FIRST TIME BYERS: Home byers in Myrtleford may not reap the benefits in the revised scheme.

POTENTIAL home buyers in Myrtleford may not reap the full benefits of the revised First Home Buyers Scheme, according to a local real estate expert.

The Federal Government last week announced the revision to the First Home Buyers Scheme and eligible buyers will be able to access the scheme when purchasing a home worth up to $375,000 in rural and regional areas with as little as a five per cent deposit.

The scheme will only be available to 10,000 first home buyers each year from January 2020.
