Brighter Days move

TOO LARGE: Brighter Day music festival will be held in March next year at Pioneer Park due to the increase in attendees last year.

BRIGHT’S hugely popular charity music festival, Brighter Days, will be moved to Pioneer Park next year after organisers admitted it had become too large for the riverside Howitt Park.

The three-day festival, held each year over the Labour Day weekend in March, has drawn crowds of about 7000 people per day to the stage in Howitt Park.

The move to Pioneer Park had been speculated on for months, and was this week confirmed by the Brighter Days committee that in consultation with the Alpine Shire Council and a specialist risk assessment panel it was considered necessary to move the event.
