IN his first full season back in Myrtleford, Connor Caponecchia was the runaway winner of the Savoys’ senior best and fairest on Saturday.

The 21-year-old was a popular winner of the A&G Novak Medal, polling 24 votes to finish ahead of Troy Pawlik (16 votes) and Jesse Stephens (13).

Caponecchia returned to the Savoy line up late last season after a stint with Murray United and didn’t miss a beat, playing arguably the most consistent year of his career
