Bright’s double win

IT was an historic night for the Bright Football Netball Club with senior football captain Nick Lebish and star A grade defender Bridget Flint-Chapman taking out the top gongs at the Ovens and King presentation night.

In two of the most thrilling counts in recent memory, Lebish tied with Milawa star Jamie Allan to share the Clyde Baker Medal on 24 votes while Flint-Chapman flew home to finish level with Greta defender Rebecca Duryea on 22 votes to win the Fay Morgan Medal.

Lebish starred in the first half of the season but made his move in the final two rounds, finishing with best on performances against North Wangaratta and Moyhu to draw level with Allan, who didn’t play the last two matches.
