    BEHIND THE WHEEL: Study reveals that one in three Australian drivers admit they are more likely to drive dangerously on rural roads.

    WITH two-thirds of road deaths occurring on regional roads in 2018, new research has put a spotlight on risky driver behaviour on local roads.

    Data released by the Australian Road Safety Foundation (ARSF) last week to mark Rural Road Safety Month, revealed that one in three Australian drivers admit they are more likely to drive dangerously on rural roads.

    Worryingly, regional Victorians are more likely than their metro counterparts to take the wheel under the influence of drugs or alcohol, drive fatigued and not wear a seatbelt.
