MYRTLEFORD Savoy has broken their drought when it comes to defeating Boomers FC after a hearty 4-2 win on the border at the weekend.

The Savoys looked to be in trouble early with the home side defensively strong from the get go but they couldn’t make the most of their time up forward.

Keeper Nathan Gleeson was brilliant in goals while captain Brenton Cook kept Savoy alive in the frustrating first term effort.

The game was scoreless at half time and Myrtleford believers were well and truly on edge.
