    MYRTLEFORD Savoy has gone one game clear on the senior ladder after defeating Cobram Roar FC 2-0 in Cobram at the weekend in a high drama match that saw Savoy goalkeeper Jayden Vescio taken from the ground in an ambulance with severe concussion.

    It was the Savoy men’s biggest test yet, with the Roar also going into the game undefeated and with some convincing victories under their belt early on in the season.

    But it was Savoy who scored first, with Sam Morgan getting his side on the board mid-way through the first half.

    Just five minutes before half-time however, Cobram got a break forward from a through ball and a one-on-one collision between Savoy keeper Vescio and a Roar striker saw Vescio cop a nasty knee to his cheek.
