HARRIETVILLE Primary School has a brand new principal, and she’s set on making her mark during her five year term.

Samantha Pellegrini has been a classroom teacher for the past 13 years, and after a two-term acting principal position at Harrietville, she was successfully appointed to head the school until 2020.

In 1997, Mrs Pellegrini began her Bachelor of Behavioral Science at La Trobe University and in 2001 she completed a Graduate Diploma in Education (P-12) in Wodonga.

“I started teaching in 2002 at St Michael’s School in Tallangatta and finished there in 2005,” she said.

“From 2006-2009, I taught whole school mathematics, LOTE (Italian) and health and PE.

“From 2009-2014, I was the LOTE teacher at Porepunkah and literacy support and I also began working at Wandiligong Primary School in 2010 until last year as the whole school LOTE teacher and Health teacher.” Mrs Pellegrini said she was thrilled to have been appointed as principal and her vision for Harrietville Primary School is clear and simple.
