Dancing her way to success

OPPORTUNITY: Myrtleford dancer Georgina Campbell will spend the next two years as a fulltime dance student after being accepted in to The Edge Performers School in Melbourne.

A MYRTLEFORD dancer’s hopes of a career in the industry have taken their first steps after being invited to enrol at a Melbourne dance school as a full time student in 2015.

Georgina Campbell was recently accepted in to The Edge Performers School in Eltham on a partial scholarship where she will complete two years in commercial dance and elite performance.

After impressing at a two day workshop and audition in September, Georgina was offered a place at the school and it didn’t take long for her to decide that the Edge School was the one for her.

“Edge was my first audition but straight away I knew that it was the place for me,” Georgina said.

“It just had this great atmosphere about it and it instantly made me feel like it was where I wanted to be.”

Having been dancing for eight years, being involved in the industry has always been a goal of Georgina’s.
