Great display of musical variety at soiree

NATURAL: PJ Crocombe played a duet with teacher Jill Chalwell during last Thursday’s performance.

PRIMARY and secondary students from Bright P12 College performed their hearts out at the school’s second soiree for the year.

Bright P12 College music teacher Jason Campbell said the range of performances showed the level of commitment from students.

“We had 48 performers at the Primary Soiree on Wednesday night, which shows we have a big interest in music at the college,” he said.

Students from grades prep – six performed using a variety of instruments including guitar, piano, trumpet, alto saxophone, tuba, flute and drums.

The primary concert band, the prep to two choir and the three to six choir also gave stellar performances including Three Four All, Little Old Lady, Happy as Larry, Watermelon and Ugly Heart.

Thursday night saw students from years seven to 12 perform 14 numbers to a more intimate crowd.
