Big crowd soaked up the sun and entertainment at the Myrtleford Show

LOCAL teenagers (from left) Lily Kozuharoff, Bailey Stone and Isaac Black were among the large crowd to soak up the sun, and heaps of entertainment at the 67th annual Myrtleford Show on Saturday.

SUNNY weather and good crowds graced the 67th annual Myrtleford Show on Saturday.

Show society president Rosemary Garoni said she was delighted with the reception and strong attendance, which helped make for another successful year.

The Myrtleford Showgrounds was a buzz with excitement, with the sideshow alley rides set up along the main drive, on the open side of the elm trees, being a particular favorite among the kids, while the nearby vintage engines chugging away caught the attention of many.

The cooking, preserves, farm produce and horticulture were all well supported, as were the craft, sewing and handcraft sections.

Former Mt Beauty twins, and X Factor finalists Michael and Gabriel Saalfield – better known as the Royce Twins – performed as well as judged the pet parade.

Wayne Furze, president of the North East Holstein Association, had the honor of officially opening the show, and also crowning the champion dairy cow Mallaganne Planet Piroutte, owned by the Yea family of Dederang.
