Awards for young Saints

WINNERS: MYRTLEFORD Junior Football Club held its vote count and presentations at the Ablett Pavilion on Saturday night, and Jack Lunardi (left) and Will Quirk (right) took out the under 16 and under 14 best and fairest awards respectively.

MYRTLEFORD Junior Football Club held its vote count and presentations on Saturday night.

Jack Lunardi was named the under 16 best and fairest with 132 votes, beating runner-up and leading goalkicker Michael Elliott by 24 votes.

The under 14 award was a runaway win to Will Quirk, polling 164 votes to finish 83 clear of runner-up Nick Martignago.

Quirk was also the team’s leading goalkicker with 11 majors.

Other under 16 awards: Most consistent – Oliver Mullens; Most Improved – Tom Piazza; Best First Year Player – Marc Constenaro, Encouragement Award – Cody Poulton; Coaches Award – Rhys Grant.

Other under 14 awards: Most consistent – Dylan Trezise; Most Improved – Pat Bren; Best First Year Player – Tyler Harrington, Encouragement Award – Mitchell Botter; Coaches Award – Bernard Ruara.
