MYRTLEFORD recorded its best result in months with a near perfect performance against Albury United on Sunday.

The Savoys rebounded from their round 16 loss to Melrose and round nine defeat to United by beating the reigning league champions 3-1 at Jelbart Park.

The win will give them plenty of confidence ahead of a tantalising clash with league leaders Cobram this week.

After a lacklustre first half a week earlier the Savoys responded with their best opening half hour this season.

Co-coach Matt Park opened the scoring with his 20th goal of the campaign 13 minutes in before the Savoys’ advantage was doubled just two minutes later with Will Dennis finding the back of the net.

Jess Stephens secured the team’s 11th win when he made it 3-0 at the 26 minute mark.

Co-coach Jayden Vescio said it was an impressive display by his team.
