BRIGHT’S Community Garden is starting to see some growth.

After more than nine months of planning there are now plants in the ground and soon a water supply to feed the garden.

Last Friday a 22,500 litre water tank was installed on the block of land just past the Anglican Church Hall.

Community garden member Andy Kemp said it was great to finally see progress.

“It has taken a while to get going but we have really picked up some momentum over the last month or so,” he said.

“We have just installed the watering system that will be picking up water off the church hall roof and pumped up in to the tank at the top of the block.”
