An early taste of Christmas in the piazza

A PACKED piazza with all the Christmas trimmings greeted Santa when he arrived at the Myrtleford Carols on Saturday night.

Organisers say the crowd was one of the biggest on record – a new sound system proving a huge hit with everyone.

Emcee Kym Goodman said it was a special evening.

“We had families – young kids through to grandparents and so many people took the chance to dress-up for the occasion,” she said.

“There was just a great Christmas spirit.
