THE spirit of Christmas will again be spread by the Combined Churches in Bright.

The sixth Christmas Day Lunch will be held at the Uniting Church Outreach Centre on December 25, for those people or families who don’t have anyone to share the day with.

Convenor Henry Martin said the lunch had a great atmosphere and enabled those who would be sitting at home on their own to join in and celebrate the day.

“It’s been pretty good over the years, we had 45 people at last year’s lunch and that’s about what we have had each year since the first,” he said.

“We put on roast lamb, chicken, turkey, roast veggies and salads and of course dessert.

“We probably prepare enough food for 60-70 meals so people are able to take a plate home for the evening.

“We have had some great support since the start, The Traditional Plum Pudding Company have been fantastic over the years.
