Bright hits the track

BACK INTO IT: Dylan Bursill and Steve Nightingale work on their fitness with some boxing drills at Bright’s preseason training which began last week.

BRIGHT is set to unveil a number of recruits in the coming weeks but Bright coach Regan Alexander kept a lid on who would be joining the Mountain Men for 2016.

“We have a couple of guys but are just finalising things with them so that should be done in the next few weeks,” third year coach Alexander said.

“The guys we have got will complement our list nicely, through the midfield and across half forward.”

Alexander did, however, confirm the majority of the team that was just 10 points away from a grand final appearance last season would return for another shot at breaking Glenrowan and Milawa’s dominance over the competition.

The only notable departures, although not yet confirmed at this stage, according to Alexander are the Mounsey brothers, Dylan and Jake, who are unlikely to continue the journey up the Hume from Melbourne each weekend.

Both were key players for the Mountain Men in 2015 when fit.
