Saints enjoy golden day

MYRTLEFORD netballers Saige Broz, Breanna Rouse, Taylor Broz and Amber Quirk went along dressed as old ladies to the Myrtleford Football and Netball Club’s annual Gold Bullion draw.

THE Myrtleford Football Netball Club held its annual Gold Bullion draw at the Ablett Pavilion on Sunday.

Another big crowd attended with everyone hoping they would be the one to take home the major prize of $5000, however, the lucky winner was Saints skipper Kristan Height.

Former Melbourne footballer David Schwarz was a guest speaker at the event and talked about his battle with gambling during his playing career while comedy duo Elbowskin entertained the crowd later in the afternoon.

Saints president Michael Quirk said the event was another successful one for the club.

“We sold approximately 350 of the 400 tickets which was good and we probably ended up making a bit more money than we have in the last three or four years,” he said.
