Bright final term blitz

COME IN SPINNER: Sean McGregor tracks down a loose ball in Bright’s seven goal win over Moyhu on Saturday.

A SIX goal to zero final quarter helped Bright record a 42 point win over Moyhu on Saturday.

The Mountain Men returned to the winners list after previous losses to Glenrowan and Bonnie Doon but were made to work hard by a spirited and determined Hoppers outfit.

An important match for both sides, Bright went into the game hoping to end their two game winless run while the Hoppers were looking to maintain their place in the top six with their sixth win of the season.

With that the case, it always looked like being a close battle and that’s exactly what it was, in the first three quarters neither side ever lead by more than two goals, but when the game was there to be won it was Bright who stepped up.

Tom Buckley was the star for the Mountain Men, having a day out at full forward kicking nine goals and proving unstoppable.
