HUNDREDS of locals and visitors flock to the annual Monster Garage Sale hosted by the Rotary Club of Mt Beauty on Easter Sunday.

The club offers donated items for sale as well as selling pitches for private vendors.

Club president Christine Walker said that this year was particularly successful, with an increased number of people wanting to hold stalls, and a big influx of visitors.

“The weather was perfect and encouraged a lot of people to turn up, a huge improvement on the Cup Day sale when we were washed out in a storm,” she said.

A number of year 11 students and teachers from Mt Beauty Secondary College gave their time to man the barbecue and paint faces for young visitors.

College principal Simone Roy said that Rotary consistently supports several programs at the school, including the year 11 Melbourne Experience camp, where year 11 students spend time in Melbourne learning how to find their way around the city.
