Annual rubber ducks race sparks interest in Harrietville

THIS large crowd gathered to watch as 500 little yellow ducks made their way to the finish line during the Harrietville Primary School’s 5th Annual Duck Race on Easter Sunday.

THERE was tension in the air at Harrietville’s Tavare Park as 500 yellow rubber ducks fought their way down the Ovens River.

The 5th Annual Harrietville Primary School Duck Race was once again a resounding success with one duck making its lucky owner $500 richer.

The race is held in conjunction with the annual Harrietville Easter Sunday Market, with all proceeds going towards helping the school purchase sports equipment, computers, books and to help cover the costs of student excursions.
